MARY ANN MATHEWS, MS, CLCP
Mary Ann holds a Master of Science
degree from Boston University in
Rehabilitation Counseling, specialized training
in psychiatric rehabilitation, and a B.A.
degree in Psychology from Regis College.
Over the past 30 years, she has devoted her
professional career to assisting individuals
and families affected by physical, psychological,
cognitive and learning disabilities. Mary Ann
has held professional positions in a wide
range of disability settings, including private
vocational rehabilitation, two community
mental health centers, a large internship
training program in human service skills and
recreation programming, and MA state hospital
consultation team for in-patient assault
and abuse.
Since 1983, Mary Ann has also
created and directed three unique disability
organizations serving adults with learning
and developmental disabilities, including
Living Independently Forever, Inc. (LIFE)
on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Most recently,
Ms.
Mathews completed
128 hours of training in the specialty
area of Life Care Planning conducted by
MediPro, a University of Florida affiliate specializing
in rehabilitation-related professional
education. She is credentialed by the
Commission on Health Care Certification as
a Certified Life Care Planner.
